It's seems like we are starting all over now that the Wagon Wheel Flea Market is closed for good.
So we are checking out other flea markets. There aren't to many near us and the prices to rent are much higher with no option to choose the location you want to be at within the flea market on some. But we have time because we never ever do flea markets in the summer. Just way to hot!!! And with the coronavirus in full swing there isn't many people out there yet. So now I have time to work on my website once more and am going to set it up for selling online hopefully. It has been, and still is, a learning experience for sure and I sometimes wonder if I will ever get there. But with everything...We all take baby steps at first. LOL! And I have to to say there has been no shortage of speed bumps and curve balls on this journey. I had to upgrade Microsoft Windows which change around things. I downloaded Outlook and now I am having trouble with my Lap Top which is affecting my website. I'm going to have to get someone to help me find the problems and get back on course again. I have to say I do admirer all the youngsters out there that are techies! Lol! It seems to come to them naturally. But I do know this - I will get thru this and be glad that I didn't quit because I am a sheller and I love what I do! Have an awesome day my sweet shellers & beach friends! Wanda/Darlene

Who doesn't like to collect seashells when they go to the beach! I love to watch people of all ages on the shore line stoop down to grab a beautiful treasure from the sea. And more than that...I like to be that person! lol! Sept. 10 we went to Sand Key County Park to sit on the beach and get some sun rays and of course do some shelling. After the tropical storm past through the park/beach had been closed for clean up for a few days. But we were excited to get there when it reopened because that's the best time to do shelling, after a storm.
Well, we hit the jack pot!!! Two large bags of seashells! After shelling we decided to take a walk down to the jetty and I picked up another large bag of shells further up on the beach. Down at the jetty we sat and watched the boats and jet skies go up and down the inlet. What a beautiful day! I can't tell you how relaxing it is being at the sea shore. The fresh salt air. The cool water. Walks on the beach. It rejuvenates the mind and body! Can anyone relate to that!?! If you're planning to take a vacation and love shelling or just love the beach Clearwater, Florida is a great destination! |
