Who doesn't like to collect seashells when they go to the beach! I love to watch people of all ages on the shore line stoop down to grab a beautiful treasure from the sea. And more than that...I like to be that person! lol!
Sept. 10 we went to Sand Key County Park to sit on the beach and get some sun rays and of course do some shelling. After the tropical storm past through the park/beach had been closed for clean up for a few days. But we were excited to get there when it reopened because that's the best time to do shelling, after a storm.
Well, we hit the jack pot!!! Two large bags of seashells! After shelling we decided to take a walk down to the jetty and I picked up another large bag of shells further up on the beach.
Down at the jetty we sat and watched the boats and jet skies go up and down the inlet. What a beautiful day! I can't tell you how relaxing it is being at the sea shore. The fresh salt air. The cool water. Walks on the beach. It rejuvenates the mind and body! Can anyone relate to that!?!
If you're planning to take a vacation and love shelling or just love the beach Clearwater, Florida is a great destination!
